Date Pudding
- plain flour
- sugar
- chopped dates
- atora suet
- milk
- bicarbonate of soda
- nutmeg
- mixed spice
Mix 6oz of plain flour with a teaspoon of nutmeg and mixed spice and 2
oz of sugar. Add 6oz of chopped dates and 2oz shredded Atora (suet).
Boil ½ a pint of milk and add to the dry ingredients along with ½ a
teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda. Beat the mixture together. Place in a
greased basin and steam for 3 and ½ hours. Serve warm.
